還有拍攝曼哈頓市中心的拆遷的《The Destruction of Lower Manhattan》、記錄黑人民權運動的《Memories of the Southern Civil Rights Movement》,對於後來的新聞報導攝影,均有深遠影響。

Today marks the 80th birthday of American photographer Danny Lyon. His famous photobook “The Bikeriders” inspired the classic road film “Easy Rider” in 1969 and influenced photographers such as Larry Clark and Nan Goldin.
Danny Lyon was a member of The Chicago Outlaw Motorcycle Club. From 1963 to 1967, he got along well with the motorcycle outlaws, fully integrated into their life. They traverse the United States, partying and racing together. Danny photographed their primitive and free way of life. He deeply felt their rebellious and uninhibited lifestyle and portrayed the living conditions of these people.
Under the lens of Danny Lyon, The Chicago Outlaw members value friendship, respect life, and carry the hearse for the deceased members. They are not ruthless people. Danny Lyon compiled these photos into a book, “The Bikeriders.” Although the book documenting their maverick lives can’t change its notoriety, it shows their humanity through photography to some extent.
